One of the cool things about the Rotary organization is that they don’t just hand you the gavel and wish you luck. They invest in their leaders, giving them tools, training, and support to lead with confidence.
Last weekend, RAH’s President-Elect Amy attended Midwest PETS (President-Elect Training Seminar), joining 500+ incoming Rotary leaders from across Illinois, Michigan, and the best state of all - Wisconsin(!) to prepare for the year ahead.
Amy shared, “I’m feeling grateful to have heard a motivating message from RI President-Elect Olayinka Hakeem Babalola, reminding us of the lasting impact we can make in our clubs and communities. I’m returning from PETS inspired and energized. It was a meaningful time to reflect on my Rotary ‘why’ and reflect on how to share that passion with current and future members. One message that resonated was Rotary’s powerful role in combating loneliness by fostering fellowship, connection, and service. That sense of community is what makes Rotary so special. I’m looking forward to the year ahead and the difference we can make together.”
